Hey, is it me, or is the back seat a little narrow than a regular 4 door???? Dave Yup the back seat is narrower, only as wide as the space between wheelwells. With the driver seat adjusted for my 34" inseamed pants, I have 9" between the seatback and front of backseat cushion in both my Troopers ... so the legroom is the same on 4dr and RS.

legroom in the back of troopers isn't the best. I've never had any trouble up front tho (6'1"). now the older rodeo's have the best backseat legroom of anything i've sat in.

I agree with the rodeos, im amazed by the amount of room back there. Never sat in the back of a trooper though, had some guy ask me if I wanted to buy his trooper, hes getting ready to sell it. Looks clean, runs good, just has a major case of the tick.

I urge everyone to take a close look at this new auction for this same truck. Its a real shame. But hey, for 1000 clams, you could be on your way to swaping in a Nailhead (buick) 401 or Chevy 350 in there! Check it.I think if i got this truck from a buyer that didnt warn me of whats wrong with it, i might be more worried than if i didnt fit into it... -J

I just stuck my trooper diesel on Ebay looks similar to that one (color red). I was going to find those rims and fix mine up, but it won't go more than 65mpg tached at 3100-DIESEL rpms. So I'm going to see what I can get for her. I love the diesel for driven around town but it stinks on the highway.

quote from the seller: Unfortunately I have some bad news. While the Trooper was at the dealer undergoing replacement for a leaky radiator hose, a compression test was done to ensure proper functioning of all cylinders. It was brought to our attention that the compression in the cylinders is low, and as such we are hesitant to sell the Trooper as is. We will therefore end the auction early and relist the truck with engine work needed Wow, that sucks for the seller...standup of him to relist with the new info. I would definitely get a second opinion though on the compression issue, if I were him. Since it has the big tire option wheels, it probably has 4.77 gears...

standup of him to relist with the new info. AGREED! But I'm surprised that you didn't say anything about this: Buy it Now Price: US $2,450.00Bad compression or not, that looks like a heck of a deal to me! Cheers! Smiley

That's the same Buy It Now price it had before the compression issue was discovered. At that time I thought it was a decent deal, but without an engine...I don't think so.
It could be parted out with some success (gears and wheels are worth over a grand right there), though with that pristine a body I guess it makes more sense to put a new engine in it.

with that pristine a body... That (plus the gears) would be the part that I was talking about. Unless you own one, you just don't see an RS every day --- But one that looks to be in such good physical condition, from the Deep South... Well, the way that I see it, with an engine rebuild (or swap) it ought to be good for at least another 100,000+ miles. If I had the beans, I'd probably be trying my darnedest to reach the guy with an offer.
