Not to shoot anyone's idea's... but keep the perspective that WE (being 4x4wire members) know the trooper is valuable...

but to the general population, its just a jalopy waiting to be sold. I really could not see myself buying an 89rs for more than a grand, because I know what KBB and other valuation services mark it... if y'all are really interested, you should wait around for a steal, not just the next 89rs that surfaces to the top....

Good point, Santi...an RS is pretty useless to the average Joe. It does seem as though more people are starting to advertise them as "rare" and set their prices a bit higher.
I've mentioned before that I would turn down $5G for mine.

Then I'd be all over this 'Nawlins RS.

Note that the new buy it now is $1425. Not $2425.
Oh and who cares what the everyday person thinks. If you had that thing, (assuming it ran well) and especially if it had a V8 or something swapped into it, you would be cool if to no one else but you. Thats why i would get it. Plus those 4.77s....

Umm... I do. if Joe Schmo doesn't what he has (worth is subjective, in this case in particular), he will sell for cheap. I'm glad you want to pay a premium for something... the last place I would buy something rare is on Ebay; every single frickin enthusiast across the globe will bid that thing up...
