Thanks for the post/link. That actually helped my figure out that nothing is wrong with the lights I got.
One of the reasons they may have used the Amigo as an example vehicle could be because most of the Japanese MUs (it's equivalent) got PIAA lights mounted on a front brush guard from the factory.
I was lucky and got one while I was living in Japan. I couldn't unravel the mess of wiring to take that also though. So, when I wired it in on my Amigo, they weren't the off-road lights I was expecting. I figured I missed getting a voltage step-up component. But looking at that site I have the Fog/Foul weather beam pattern/brightness. So that explains why they aren't the super bright-long range lights I hoped they were. Now I'll have to get a different set of fog lights and upgrade the PIAAs.
