Not the original motor, and i have no idea how many miles on it, but the guides were broken, the chain had almost worn throgh into the water jacket, and i was missing 4 teeth off the lower chain sprocket. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> and oh yah, 2 bent intake valves.
that's just scary! the motor i've got has a bombproof timing setup...dual row chain and steel guides. i'd imagine your situation it would've been nice to have the dual chain as there's half the chance of losing your timing and smashing valves when there's twice as many teeth on the sprocket
