Welcome to Mitsu-land. Looking forward to seeing you out on a trail soon.

One observation I will add concerns tires. I started out with stock tires, which got old real fast. I then upgraded to 31s. You'd be surprised how quickly they wore out their welcome. While I had the 31s I cranked the torsion bar and lifted the rear quarter with upgraded springs (I have a 91 4-door).

At that point I had to have 33s. Thus I ditched the 31s and bought a set of 33x12.5 and 4 new wheels to go along with them. Excellent upgrade.

So, my advice would be to skip the 31s all together. Lift your front and back and then invest in a set of 33x12.5 MTs and new wheels. If you plan to wheel this thing here in the desert you'll never regret it.

Good luck.
