I think my alternator might be going bad... when I step on the gas, my heater fan slows down and my lights dim a little... would I be correct in assuming this is an alternator problem? (I know, go get it tested, and I will, I'm just wondering if my guess is correct, before I take it to a shop)

If I need to replace it, should I go with a stock one, or upgrade to a more powerful one? I'm planning on installing a winch, lights and ARB lockers/compressor some time in the future....

With all of this stuff, will I need a larger alternator, or just a bigger battery?
