Wow!
After seeing your post I did a quick search over at car-part.com and found that it turned up 35 pages of 5VZFE motors. At 50 motors per page that's 1750 5VZFE motors for sale right now! Last time I looked was a couple of years ago; then there were not so many and they were a lot more expensive. It looks like you could pick up a used motor with about 75k miles for $800 pretty easy without having to find a special sweet deal.
Hmmm? If I bought a clean, early to mid-90's, 3.0, 4x4, manual transmission, 4runner SR5 for a few grand (or less if it needed a motor) and put a 5VZFE and a TRD blower in it I wouldn't need to make the car dealers and the banks rich and I would have a fine ride. Except for the wiring harness and ECU, its almost a bolt-in job, right? Maybe this is the way to beat the system? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> -- Matt

No mileage? No accessories? Run upside down after a rollover maybe? These things add up in a hurry. I'd pass without more (verified) info.
I paid $1500 for mine, I got to pull it and grab everything I wanted including the O2 sensors (who knows if still good, but I got 'em), cat & pipe, headers, ECU, all engine accessories and then some, off a 4Runner with 92K miles whose history I knew. Might be able to find the same for $1200 but it would take some looking. In a few years, it wouldn't, but they would be high milers by then. Just some random thoughts.
