Just a guess...</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, Helv, Helvetica, Sans">Actually ADD does have everything to do with it. 22REs with ADD got the G58 and chain driven case from at least 1989 through 1995. As to why, it has to do with the ADD specificly allowing you to shift on the fly while moving, which was one of the big selling points of ADD. The chain driven case was combined with ADD because it could be shifted into 4WD at speed much smoother and more reliably than the gear driven T-case.
