I wouldn't try this again without at least eight guys, I'm still a little baffled by the weight of this body I just don't see where the weight is. Oh and this is the best pic yet. ![[Linked Image]](http://pics.montypics.com/OKRED/2005-01-07/1105119145_DSC02242.jpg) Needless to say there will be some steel work involved here. 88 auto trans up for grabs PM me.

That kind of rot is caused me to take on the "SWB Rebuild Project." I took the body off myself with an engine hoist and jackstands. When it was time to put it back on, I thought I'd save time and get the neightbor and his two fit young college age sons. It was like a comedy of some sort. The four of us squatted and lifted and we moved it about an inch and said no freakin way! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> Thought the same thing, where is all the weight hiding?

its the fact they use fairly thick real steel in the monteros, unlike a new car which uses paper thin aluminum.

Yup I'm all over it. Hey is the transfer case the exact same between the 6cyl and 4cyl? I would like to keep my old transfer case as a spare.

I believe not. I think there are two cases with two flavors each: 4-cyls and 6-cyls, ATs and MTs.
