But what I am saying is that it CANNOT be as strong. Maybe you can get aftermarket Toyota shafts now that are comparable to the stock Dana 60 stubs, but otherwise they are nowhere near as strong. The 60 I have is going under my dad's Land Cruiser, I too like to keep things light on my Toyota truck, that is why I stuck with the Toyota drivetrain.

J94 doesn't want to run 5.29s and 5.38s, this has been covered in past posts. I realize that lots of people do it but his mind is already made up. I have friends that do it but I am not personally comfortable with it on high traction surfaces like the slabs on the Rubicon. Plus, if anything you would want taller gears in the front, not the rear, to minimize binding in the drivetrain.
