Body Damage is Cool
I spotted this on the Craigslist, it might be a good deal for someone needing a rebuilt engine, plus it's supposed to have manual hubs, rebuilt carb, Calmini header, new master cyl. A veritable parts treasure trove! If it were closer and we didn't have snow all over, I'd go get it:

Good Luck:

I had just finished sending an email on that one when I saw your post. I'm hoping the description is near accurate. My wife has been wanting me to get "her" 86 Trooper back up and running and this thing looks like just the donor to do it. The header would be a nice upgrade for *my* part of the that same 86. smile Whatever I find out on it, I'll drop a post in here.

Funny thing is, yesterday when I posted this he had the price at $250, a real Steal. Now it's been changed to $500. Guess that's still way less than the price of a rebuilt motor, let alone the other parts. G'luck, hope it works out......ed

Thanks, that is a handy tidbit of additional info. I must have just missed it last night when I checked craigs. It sounds promising, but I guess we'll see when I get a look at it. It sounds like a good deal at $500 OBO, but it is possible to do a lot of damage to a motor in 3000 miles. If the rest of the rig is just junk it also becomes more a loss too. It isn't always that easy to get rid of a stripped rustbucket.

Talked to the owner today. It had already sold. Assuming it was everything it was advertised to be, someone got a good deal.
