Break it in on dino first. Break in is one of the things synth is not better for. Swap it to synth oil at 1k. Turbo timers are nice, and not too expensive. I made one years ago (Olds StarFire turbo - a '62 maybe?) with a twist it timing switch and a (porno warning) self excited relay.
