Find one with 5 vac ports, 4 in rear one in front.* Get one with your same throttle arm on backwards so you can just flip it 180, it really is just as simple as that. I am not sure what is the big problem with locating the "right" one.

I think my problem is that there aren't that many junkyards around here. I admit I haven't been all that active at taking a Saturday and spending the whole day looking, but last one I was at had only two Troopers, both picked over to where they were barely recognizable. Looked at all the Astro vans and S10's (not many), didn't find a single one with a 4.3.

Another yard, the guy didn't want to let me out to look until he knew what I wanted. When I told him I was looking for a 4.3 TB to swap onto my 2.8, he said he wouldn't sell it to me even if he had one because I wasn't just replacing what I had... (like you get a warranty with salvage parts!)

If I was able to find a yard with 10 rigs with 4.3's and walk down the line comparing the TB's to pictures of mine, I'd probably be able to say 'Oh, I get it, this is the one'.

Knowing which is the 'right' one (IE the right bracket to flip, etc. therefore requring less fabrication ability and knowledge like drilling the casting to add a vacuum port) makes it easier for those of us that want to make the mod, but are less sure of our mechanical abilities! We're (or at least I'M) more comfortable walking in and saying "I'm looking for a throttle body for a 93 S10 with a 4.3".

As a mechanic, I make a decent engineer...I'm fair with tools, but need to follow instructions from someone who understands the whys and wherefores better then I do. So, I appreciate the help of folks like you, who understand it well enough that you don't think it's a big deal.

You want three 240/120 single phase transformers wired for 208 three phase, I can deal with it. You want a 20 minute 1,000 shell fireworks show choreographed to music, I'm your man!

Automotive stuff...I need a book, or fairly specific help!
