so, today i went up against my buddy in his 98 jeep wrangler...lifted 4 inches, 33's, wench...ect...against my pretty stock 92 4runner...i have 31's,and thats about it..anyways, it is all snowy, AND rainy, and foggy...typical mountain weather up here....well, we went rompin...and i mean rompin....my 4runner went everywhere his jeep went no problemo...his jeep got stuck in a minuature river...bigger then a creek, smaller then a river...bout 3 feet deep...you get the picture...well, he got stuck, and had to use his winch to get out...well, i was being cocky, so i decided to take on that same minuature river, well, sure enough, i got stuck...haha...but all i had were tow straps and a come-along...long story short, i got out of that with 2 tow straps, a come-along, 1 pair of dickie pants, and some neddle-nose pliers....well, my whole point was, my virtually stock 4runner was just as capable as my buddies lifted jeep (on this ocassion) it really shows toyota's true off-roading capabilities....and just to add, my buddy, joe,he aint no rookie at off roading, we have been rompin for a few years now, so experiance wasnt the reason why we BOTH got stuck...anyways...GO TOYOTA!!!!

You could have showed him with a detroit locker in rear and LSD in front, you could have made through with 2wd propably only using the rear locker. World of difference

I need to sell my 4Runner because it isn't "Trail Rated" like the Jeeps.
