the rear of my 4runner is sitting about 1" lower than the front. I have 3" AllPro leafs on the front and rear. Allpro said the height difference is b/c the springs were mainly designed for the weight of a truck in mind. so I'd need to get the 4" in the back, and 3" up front ot make it sit level. I'm also running Allpro Shackles that came with my kit. So should i look into some longer shackles or cough up the $220 for 4" allpro springs?

There are a lot of things that you could do before spending more money. How much clearance do you have? Could you pull a leaf out of the front to better match the rear? What about a small lift block? Or, as you suggested, longer shackles. I would be weary of getting them TOO long though, lots of extra leverage and in my experience they tend to bend the spring eye if they are excessive.

well i like how the front sits, and the rear needs a bit more clearance. So lowering the front is not an option.

Maybe drive it around a little and let the front springs settle in a little, and it might just get lower.

they've been in since Dec 15th and i'm driving it daily about 25 miles... and i went wheeling 1 time already. they settled about 1" with time & the Frontrange bumper. I doubt they'll be getting much lower... but they might; i can't tell the future. How long does it take for them to properly settle? b/c my rear springs about 6 months old.

Put a winch on the front and the extra weight will bring it down level! Seriously, if you were thinking of adding anything to the font like a brush guard or winch, the extra weight will help bring it down.

J94----you would be a good candidate for a coil in the center to lift and add payload ability.....

well i currently have a Front Range front bumper(65lbs?), and custom rear bumper(100lbs). I want to add a Milemarker E9000 winch to the front, and i also plan on either buying a new rear bumper that is lighter or fabing a lighter one up myself. so... maybe with a winch upfront , and a lighter bumper in the rear it'll level out <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" /> i guess i'll live with the measley 1" difference for now.

Good plan, I doubt your front springs are done settling, as well. Good info though.
