I read the other post but didn't feel it was right to talk about it when he didn't consider the 2.7L Taco motor. I was wondering just how hard it would be to swap in a 2.7 to a 88 toyota pickup with 5 speed? I'm sure somebody has done it, at least once. So is Marlin going to make a kit?

Roll Me Over
Marlin's son Mike has done it. See his thread here...

Mike mentioned that they would likely start working on a kit this year - after he does the same swap on Marlin's truck...

it's been done a couple times, but isn't common yet. i don't think a better 4 cylinder exists for a swap though, i'd love to have a 2.7 in my truck...maybe when the 22R i just built dies <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
