I'm just wondering because I have 2 Tacomas. One 4x4 reg cab with the 2.7, and one 2wd reg cab with the 2.4. Both are 5 speeds. Both are excellent trucks for what I need them for. I was under the impression that the engines are basically identical except for the displacement difference. 2.4 has less HP and Torque.
