Has anyone installed a remote starter on a vehicle with a car alarm before?
My wife would like to get a remote starter for her car (since it was waaay cold this morning) which is a 96 Grand Am. The car already has a DEI viper alarm of some sort. I don't know how a remote starter and alarm would interact, or if I would have to get a "viper" remote starter.
Any suggestions?

they have remote start modules that should work with the existing alarm and even use the existing remotes. I would check with an installer........Karl

I would contact DEI personally...at least they wont try to sell you something you might not need afterall you know I believe you can add a module, but you would have to find out from them, I know some of them aren't compatible with remote start. remote start with responder is way too cool
