Really, the reason I chang my oil so often is contamination.
I run a Weber on my 2.6L and It tends to run rich when first started in the morning,w/electric choke on. When I do change my oil I get a hint of fuel odor. When I am running 3500RPM up a longp grade, 3rd gear, at 60MPH or so, I know my oil is there for me. Overkill, yes, But I like to be safe, this 4cly takes some abuse. When I change the oil, it is black, Usually, it's not the oil that causes the failure, it's what is in the oil that causes the failure. Better run a good filter, or all the synthetic in the world won't save it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
