I took my stock air cleaner, cut the bottom out of it, and made a plate to match the carb. Welded it to the the bottom of the stock air cleaner. Then I was able to use the factory hose over to the fender. And when I made a snorkel, I took the hose and connected it to the snorkel pipe. The good thing about that was how much quieter it was over that silly square filter that comes with the carb. That's a good idea, I've still got the original filter assy kicking around somewhere. I was thinking to use a plenum with the v6 can filter or such.
