Ha! Tell 'em to try getting insured in Jersey. My insurance on my 1992 Mercury Sable wagon (straight liability, 29 years old, no points, no accidents) is close to that. If I had full-coverage on the same POS vehicle, it would be well above that. When I attempted to insure my 98 Amigo in my own name 7 years ago, they quoted me close to $6000 a year. Of course, insuring it under my father's name dropped that by a whopping $2000, but still, just insane...



I mean, I know the Trooper is quick and all, but taking her out of a truck and putting her into a car -- any car -- will mean she will drive faster. Just makes no sense.
