if you can't find a waggy front in your area, there's got to be a chevy 44 or something you can cut down to fit your axles. i would think a fullsize 44 housing would be dirt cheap empty at a junkyard, or somebody's yard in texas. if you don't have much lift, it might work but as SD says(in not so many words) castor and pinion angle are enemies. to make one better, you make the other one worse. it's hard to find a compromise when you start with 0 degrees castor with no lift.

the waggy has some castor built in. i'm going to set my pinion angle and let the castor fall where it may. if need be, i'll cut and turn the inner c(inner knuckle). but even if i don't, it will still have better castor than a scout 44 front in stock form. wtf was IH thinking? steering is over-rated?

That is funny to read... All I ever thought about my scout was how good it drove on the hiway.. never wandered or darted like you'd think from these posts. I wonder why it (they) didn't? But I like my daily ride to have only 1 or 2 degrees anyway I hate a ride that pushes into corners.
