I couldn't agree more I love this thing, everything I have done lately revolves around my Monty

Yes, it's not the cost compared to the resale value. It's the cost amortized over the the remaining life of the truck, and then compared to the cost/payments of something else. Then add in the Monty Factor on top of that.

Body Damage is Cool
Hey not trying to hyjack but I went to college in Alfred. Grew up in in Whitesville NY. (for franky) Used to stay with family in Canisteo NY. My monty cost me 1800 bucks when I got it -few dollars here and there but all in all it has been the best truck I have ever had -has never let me down. I have 3 cars and recently it was the only one on the road. I was putting 300 miles a week on it for a while. Everyone thinks it the coolest thing on the road next to a hummer

So what did the mechanic tell you was the problem?

He said "idler pulleys came unglued taking out belt, water pump, bending valves."

I guess I could think of it as spending all that money to keep a good vehicle running. Also, it is cool because it is a Monty but I also know that making decisions based on emotion leads to financial trouble...
