it doesn't look as big becuase if its length, but i'd bet the 2 shafts are VERY close in diameter.

[quotehow much do these run in the yard ... and have you seen this set up on a YJ ...one more thing to consider the rear will be moved back about 6-8"[/quote]
I have no idea what prices you may be able to find. Around here in the pull it yourself yard they are about $20. If I go to the yard next door where they pull the parts I can imagine them being $100 or higher. It's all about shopping around and what you have in your area. I happen to have an uncut Explorer shaft and it's about 30" fully compressed and around 35" fully extended. I'll let you measure what you have now and do the math to see if they are long enough to accomodate pushing your axle back that far.

CSP- I also use Explorer shafts in my CJ. If I keep adding all these Ford parts I might have to start calling it a Jord. or maybe a FEEP. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> But the shafts have worked out great. $20 bucks apiece and a free cutdown by a buddy. You truly can't beat that. Very strong too.
