Howdy,
So, I went wheelin' today after work with a friend in his Suzuki Samari and he rolled his rig. It rested on the passenger side and I used my Toy to roll him back over. I had it in 4WD Low. After I set him back on all fours, I went to move my truck and I noticed a slightloss of pressure in my clutch pedal. I tried to put it in gear but I have to shove it in. I got back on the road and it seemed fine after a while. I parked it and then went to leave again about 45 minutes later and it wouldn't go into gear. I ended up losing all pressure but I didn't see it leaking anywhere. I just replaced my clutch master cylinder two months ago, so it shouldn't be that. There's no pressure in the hydralic system so I figured it was the clutch slave cylinder. Is that right? Anyone have any ideas?

You could be low on clutch fluid. Fill up on that first. Then bleed your clutch line, and then fill up on fluid again. If it doesn't work after that, then your slave cylinder is probably going. Pumping the pedal in neutral helps - just like pumping the brake to build up pressure in the brake lines.

I GOT ER DONE!!!, I went to advance auto and bought a new clutch slave cylinder and installed and stuff. It's a whole lot better.

I went through three "lifetime warranty" remanufactured clutch master cylinders in less than a year before I wised up and bought one from Toyota -- have not had any problems in the past six years on it. Just because it is "new" does not mean that it is "good"...

Buddy, I am amazed no one told you that you should always replace the master and slave at the same time. When one fails the other is always bound to fail shortly afterwards. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

JS, PLEASE tell me your wrong. I replaced my slave about two or three months ago. I haven't had any problems yet. Guess if I get into replacing it again.(Lifetime W.) I will do both as you stated. But for now...all seems well with my clutch.

Ummm...rebuilt my master clutch cylinder with a Yota kit over 3 years ago; original slave cylinder.

mine was like that too. looked under the truck, slave was gone. put it on 1st for a mile to kragen and replaced it.
replaced clutch mc and 2 weeks ago, oil was on floor mat.
might replace it again. forgot to mention that clutch and slave mc's are 12 y/o.

Same here, went through 3 aftermarket masters in 3 years and finally bought a OEM Aisin, but have never replaced the slave <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
