FWIW, if you want a good budget-minded tire, the DTC branded Dominators have been great tires for me. They're actually a rebadged Cooper according to the salesman who sold them to me. They were only about $70 a piece and have seen duty on logging roads, in snow, and around town and have performed with aplomb.
