well i have my supra swapped 4R almost ready to hit the road... i wanted to re route my fuel lines.. to keep them away from the turbo.. i was wondering what input you all had as to what kind of line to use?

stainless is my first thought.. is it necesary ?? how much would it be??

and more importantly what size what ID do i need?
i was planning on crossing it over early close to the tank and than along or inside the frame rail..

any input would be great.. i plan on doing it this weekend so the sooner the better

thank you

ryan

Ryan,
I used SS and braided for my fuel lines. Aluminum tubing is light and easy
to work with, but is easy to dent from flying rocks. I picked up everything
from Summit Racing. 3/8 line for supply and 5/16 for return.

Go over to www.summitracing.com and take a look at their prices. They
usually have everything in stock and when I order in the morning, it's usually
on my door step the next day. Plenty of time before your weekend project.

When I mounted my tank in my flatbed, I used pre-flared 5/16" brake line tubing. The flare matched the Toyota, and the Toy flare nut worked perfect.

Todd is right. I used some of the Toy flare nuts and did my own flare on the ends.
(I figured a single flare was good enough since there is not that much pressure.)

I forgot to mention that Summit also has the flare connectors to go on tubing
although it is for standard AN fittings. For conversion fittings (metric to AN) I
found that TMR (Orange County Earl's Distributer) is real good. George over
there can set you with what you need. He saved me quite a bit of money
coming up with just the right fittings so I didn't have a bunch of fittings in
a row to do my connections. Just bring him the thread end type and tell him
what material you plan to connect the two with.
