I have to replace the head on my 91 amigo, 2.6L. Are there any differences in a head from 94? valve size, air pump crap, ect. Im going to use the old valves (frim the 91, casting 3 head)since they are only about 30k old.
thanks

Roll Me Over
93+ is a newer casting than 91 (casting numbers go up to about 5 or 6, then start over). 95 is the same as 93,94 but without the ports for the air rail. You'd definitely rather have a 94 head over a 91.

Hi James. It's been a while.

There is also a major difference between 91 and 93-on. The combustion chambers got smaller. It will work, you will get a jump in compression and you most likely will like it.

Good Luck,
Michael

So the 1995 head would work also, just with out the air rail? And the valves are the sames size?

from cross-referencing aftermarket parts, I will say yes. from 88-97 all 2.6 share part #'s & specs.

I was searching later heads and found one from a 94 Amigo that said 'No AIR tubes'. I have seen underhood shots of a 94 & it had the AIR system, but I wonder if mid-year Isuzu made the change?
