The 2.8, 3.1 use the same intake manifold. The same intake manifold bolts onto a 3.4 when swapping to preserve TB Injection.

the 4.3 intake manifold is only for 4.3 engines.

So yes, everything regarding a 4.3 TB swap works on all GM 60 degree v6 engines since you are using the same intake manifold.

Roll Me Over
A 3.1 is a 2.8 with a longer stroke, a 3.4 is a 3.1 with a larger bore, some improved oiling and some stiffening to the block.

ok , thats what I needed to know.I'll throw the 2.8 in there , with a 4.3 TB untill I save up enough for a new 3.4 or a good used one surfaces.I'm keeping my eye on thelocal papers too.Maybe I'll be able to sell my 2.6 , theres a few troopers in town.I'll have to add it to the list of parts once I get the other truck , which I am going to see him saturday <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />He will give me the exact date I can get it.
