Ok, i'm from the 4wheeling truck section, i have a 94 4runner with a SAS, built pretty well. I've been wanting to get into a Xcab pickup. So i've been looking at the T100's. got a few questions about them....
-what is the axle width WMS-WMS? -what kind of steering do they have stock? (tacoma like or old school style? -passenger or driver side Diff drop? -IS it better to get a Stick or Auto? -are these things slow b/c they're big? -do they wheel pretty good? -Should i get a tundra instead? -what side is the diff drop on a Tundra?

Ok, IÆm from the 4wheeling truck section, I have a 94 4runner with a SAS, built pretty well. I've been wanting to get into an Xcab pickup. So i've been looking at the T100's. got a few questions about them.... -what is the axle width WMS-WMS? front 65" rear 66.5" -what kind of steering do they have stock? (tacoma like or old school style? just like your 4runner, tacos and tundras have rack and pinion -passenger or driver side Diff drop? pass diff drop, tacos and tundras have driverÆs diff drop -IS it better to get a Stick or Auto? I prefer stick but it all depends on you. -are these things slow b/c they're big? slow? not if you have the 3.4 which started in 1995. Mine is supercharged so that helps a lot. -do they wheel pretty good? After the SAS? you should know that They are kind of big so body armor is a plus -Should i get a tundra instead? TundraÆs are nice with the V8 but they take little more work to make them off road worthy plus they are still kind of pricy compared to a T100 -what side is the diff drop on a Tundra? As stated above: driverÆs side Cheers Matt

well that answered a few questions man. thanks. suckers are wide... 66". Well i'd prefer a T100 over a Taco now b/c of the passenger side Diff drop . that and they're a bit bigger. but just a FYI, my 94 runner has a Steering box, not rack & pinion. that crap started in 96+ when yota i guess decided to use Camry parts in trucks But thanks for the info, with that in mind i think i'll be leaning more toward a T100 stick if i can find.

T100 has Powersteering with Pitman-Idler-link, stabilizer-dampened, not Rack & Pinion. Rack & Pinion is for cars (IMHO). SO the answer would be 'Old School Style' Has anyone even SAS'd a Tundra?

sweet then! ok, misunderstanding. b/c my friends 98 Taco literally has rack & pinion, no Pitman arm. horrible. blew the rack with 31" AT on the street/trail.

ThatÆs what I meant about the steering. The T100 steering box is the same as the 4runner/truck up to 95. All the newer trucks have a rack and pinion which they then need to be converted to the 86-95 steering box if you are doing an SAS swap. How come you are selling the Runner, that thing is nice.

well, I could use a Bed more than seats right now. my girlfriend just got a 01 4unner.. so that's the nice car. So the reason i'm selling... need a truck! lol. i thik the T100 is #1 on my list. SO let me get this straight.. they only made the T100 from 93-98. 93-95 T100's have Gear boxes and pitman arms for steering, and then the 96-98's have Rack & pinion. right? so i'd be looking for a 93-95!
