Need a Spot

We are installing an electric fuel pump on my '92 pickup and want to know what to do with the return line back to the tank. To block the return line would prolly just create a vacuum on the tank and eventually make it so the new electric pump would not be able to keep the delivery of fuel to the carb. What have others done to make a slick installation of the electric fuel pump work well?
