I run 33x12.5 BFG Muds on 8" rims with a 1" 4Crawler body lift. I hammered down the seam inside the fender well and bent up the bottom of the fender and riveted it to the inner fender liner. I cut a little out of the lower edge of the rear fender opening. It doesn't rub. I have my torsion bars cranked just a little and 2" lift springs in the rear but have flexed both front and rear to the bumpstops.
If you don't mind trimming get the 1". If you don't want to trim get the 2".
I also regeared to 4.88 gears which I highly recommend. I think this 1" lift with 33x12.5 tires and 4.88 gears is a great combo for these trucks. Does well off road but still handles/corners great on road.
