Plus if you do it yourself, you KNOW that it's done right. It seems many of the shops these days have a lot of callback problems and much less care taken to someone's car. They just bang the job out and don't pay as much attention as they should. Brake shops in my opinion are the biggest rip. You will get in there and they will quote you $150 and then they will call you 6 hours later to tell you that you need new brake lines and a booster and blah blah blah.... when you really only needed a bleed. Most people just listen to them and do it for $500. It is very easy and there is plenty of info and help here to take care of your front brakes. You could do this in an hour your first time. Go get some pads for like $30 bucks and some brembo OEM replacement rotors for like $60 apiece and your in. Don't be afraid to ask people here for help if you need it.
