Whole body shell firewall back - you still keep the same VIN (in GA, anyway) and don't even have to get a new roadworthiness inpsection because you only replaced one major component. If you started from a first vehicle with a salvage title, it wouldn't work because of the State patrol roadworthiness inspection. All that assume that the first car VIN tag just happens to jump over the the new body shell while the new windshield is being installed (why ship a heavy windshield that you are going to replace?).

I saw a Cabrio version with a hard fiberglass removeable rear roof section AND the folding rag top. That's what I want - been too many miles with a ragtop booming at speed already for a steady diet of the same again...
