When I change my oil I drain the oil pan first and then take off the skidplate and put the bucket directly under the filter and unscrew it...works great. I used to have a huge mess when it would drip down onto the skidplate and leak everywhere. But maybe try that next time its only four bolts and it saves a ton of cleanup. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Not sure how you do this? I remove both skid plates (9 or 10 bolts) and when I unscrew the filter it runs all over the side of the motor and the 4wd hardware, what a mess!

The relocation kit looks neat too. Who all primes the oil system before starting after a change? I typically pull the EFI fuse and turn the key until the oil light goes out, then put the fuse back in and start-r-up. It just pains me to hear the motor run and see the oil light still on!
