I saw the Gladiator at the Detroit auto show last month and it is truly amazing! The thing is all beef, no fluff (side-mounted spare notwithstanding). Fully boxed frame, diesel, solid axles, decent bed that is line-x'd or something, good cab space. But it is large - on par with a full-size standard cab truck.

I would too. Actually, the side mount spare makes a lot of functional sense. Its the old-school way to mount one.


Yeah old school like a model "T". Personally I would prefer it on the rear. Functional? If the flat is on the other side it just makes if further away than if it was on the back.
