fuel filter problem

Getting the Wheeling Fever

Time for a new filter. The front fitting is no problem. The rear fitting is not coming loose. I am trying not to strip this thing, but it is fighting me. I am using a line wrench and it is even threatening to strip it. I have soaked this thing in PB. No luck. Any ideas? This is on an 88 runner V-6

1988 4Runner V-6 Auto, Locked out back, LSD up front, some lift, some tire, and a casual attitude towards body damage.
