I'm thinking that Randii has psychotic...I mean sadistic....er psychic...powers. Every year he knows when my National Guard duty is, even before the policy is announced.

Unless there's an unforseen circumstance that would give me a good excuse (new job and have to move, death in the family, something lucky like that :-) )then I won't be going. At least I'm in the good old USA this year!
