Oh my gosh! Am thankful he did not have more injuries. I no longer work for St. Mary's, but airlife is such a blessing for our area. That new chopper is fantastic! Hope your friend continues to improve. Where was the accident? Just an FYI:Anyone who has an old cell phone, not in service, can still use the phone to call 911 as long as they keep the battery charged.

Crap! I bumped the magic delete button the first time First, I dont think there is anyone on the entire Wire stupid enough to drive down a hill like that. Second, its obviously not an existing trail, and I assume not a OHV area. So, while I feel bad for him, its those kind of stupid acts that give us a bad name. As others have said, hopefully he learns his lesson, for ALL of us.

This area is 18 square miles that you can drive anywhere. Look it up in the wells guide. Grand Junction Desert: area 5 page 142.

Well on my way to becoming that eccentric old man in every town.(crazy as a s#@thouse rat) With a yard full of desireable old vehicles that tells you, Sorry they're not for sale..... Someday I'm going to fix them.

That is good to hear. Still quite a bad move, especially considering how tippy a samuri is

Does anyone ever reverse winch themselves down stuff like this? I'm sure it's a bad idea but that never stopped anyone.

If I was gonna try that I'd at least get outta the truck and use a remote controller.

This is a good example why people should consider roll cages and not wheel alone. A montero would look just as bad if it did a multiple roll down that hill.

I have done it a couple of times, once because I was stuck sideways in snow, on a cliff, on a beautiful August day in Colorado
