Ok i went wheeling a little tonight with a buddy of mine. My brake light on the cj dash has been coming on randomly lately. I havent thought much about it till now. I went up a nice little hill and turned around to come back down it. My buddy called me on my cell to get me to adjust some for better pictuers. While he called i put my foot on the brakes and stopped with the pedal about halfway depressed. After 5-7 seconds of talken to him my foot starts to go deeper down with the pedel. The next thing i know the pedals to the floorboard and im rolling down hill in his direction. This was a very odd happening. So im flying down this hill now with no brakes. I left off and pumped my brakes again and i had braking power again. What could have caused this. A bad Master cylinder, or the individual pistons on the wheels. I have the master cylinder and that all under the hood. No brake booster. When its light out ill take a better look. But im hopen some night owls can guide me a little bit. Thanks guys. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Edit* The brakes would not fully engage on hills the rest of the evening but it didnt have any trouble coming home. But we still had fun! Jeep1 Jeep2 Jeep3 Jeep4 Jeep5 Howdy Lubbock Neat pictures.. I betcha you need a new master cyl! If you lost a wheel cyl it should mot have lost all brakes.
