Hey will a toyota solid axle work for a trooper
TO wide
To narrow
heavy enough
ect...

you won't find exact details, mainly because every SAS is different... the parts you choose, what you're looking for out of it, etc.

but reading all the posts out there will educate you on the general process and your options... then, come back with specific questions and everyone will be glad to help you.

there is one answer for exact SAS procedures.

to save you a few minutes, the width on the mini truck front (79-85) is 55.5", rear is 55", rears for 86+ are 58". most who do a yota front run 1.5" spacers each side. 84 and 85 are the best years, they have the most bracing to prevent bent tubes.

one axle I would be looking at if I didn't just get a 44 is the FJ60 front. 60", sprung under, same internals as the mini truck but the short side shaft is longer <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
