Sorry about the engine damage!!! If everything else on the truck is good, why not consider dropping-in a replacement engine? There's one available right now on eBay for $1,449 w/under 50K miles and a guarantee!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...615&item=7960417524&rd=1Alex

well, $1500 for the engine. the cheapest i can get someone to put that in around here is $1200.
that's $2700 that i don't have right now. plus the $1400 i dropped a few weeks ago for some other engine work would put me at $4100.
if i went to sell the vehicle after all work was done i could maybe get $4100.
right now it is all about economics at this point for me. but thanks for the thought.
