Big(Crusty-old-man <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" /> )Jim,
I went down to the local parts store and got the HD flasher and they were nice enough to take it back when I went up to the "Super HD" flasher. There was no difference with either change.
I have used the stock one that was origionally installed in June 1991 at the factory. I have replaced it with a Heavy Duty flasher, and then swapped it out for a really snazzy plastic cased deal with lots of copper wire wrapped around inside it, will take picture if you want....
I think this is something other than the flasher. I do a bit more towing than normal Jeepers would put a YJ through, so I feel that making this right would be the best way to go.
I have the trailer light harness soldered in just inside the tail "door" on the left right where the wiring harness comes back along the side of the body just before the door latch post mounting assembly. The ground lead is a soldered line that goes all the way to the ground terminal of the battery....
I can see how running a pair of relays would do the trick, but don't see that I should have to do this....
Jim, the flasher thing is a good thought, but I have eliminated the chance that I would need to "upgrade" the flasher.... What next?

Well hell Vidette! hmmm have you tried another trailer? Maybe the trailer has a crossed wire problem.. How does it work with NO trailer? Did the solder dude hit the correct wires?
