Definitely do the 4.88's. It'll do far more for more folks swapping stuff. I probably wouldn't do it now since I've already gone with 4.55's doing my SAS, but I would have went to 4.88's had it been available in the 12 bolt.

But, I share your concern. Toy guys buying up all the 12 bolts with 4.88's available...

I'm interested. Especially if a bolt on kit were available, complete with 3rd member. I don't intend on doing an SAS any time soon, but with 33's it would be worth it to get some low end back.

Hell if the toy guys get interested that is GREAT! When I go bigger in the future I can get more $$$ for my stocker

Count me in. I've been looking for a way to go upward in tire size without losing the highway speed.

If you can get someone to make 4.88's I'm in. I'll take two pairs. I imagine you'll need deposites. Work out the details. I think you got a winner idea.

I might be interested in this idea as well. Does this mean that I could keep my 4ze1 and put a solid axle from a Toy up front? If so, cool. If not, cool anyway.

I would be very interested in 4.88s for my as-yet theoretical Trooper. I expect it will remain IFS with 33s for many years, so I would very much prefer 4.88 to 5.38.

I would even be interested in a 4.88 third member with ARB locker already installed though I wonder if my pocketbook could sustain two such setups (front and rear)...

I would love this. I own a '99 trooper and would gladly replace my stock 4.30. I am trying to build an off-road exploring daily-driver vehicle so larger tires are in the near future. You can put me on the list of prospective buyers! 4.88 seems the perfect ratio. The 5.38 seems to extreme for most daily drivers.

Matt, would you be looking at developing the ratio for both 12-bolts? or just the earlier/smaller version?

I'd be very interested as well for a '99 Trooper, assuming the application fits.
