Just wondering what a "jig bar" is? Also, I will be trussing the rear differential.
A jig bar is a fixture the people whom build custom housings to keep it straight. The ones I have seen consist of machined metal pucks that bolt in place where the carrier bearings go, Pucks that bolt into the housing ends, a precision ground bar, 1.25-1.50 in diameter. This bar slides through the holes in the pucks and this holds the whole thing straight for welding. I have also seen them used with a flat table with fixtures on it for the bar to be bolted into!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
