Those two bolts shown in Ray's picture are for the caliper bracket to the spindle.

The stuck pin has its own bolt that holds it to the caliper bracket. If I remember correctly the caliper should slide over the head of the upper bolt once it you swing it upwards.

When putting the caliper back on use anti sieze on the threads of the bolts where they go into the caliper brackets. Use caliper pin lube for the mounting pins, permatex sells a nice synthectic grease just for those pins.

If the caliper still doesn't come off you might try looking at the caliper on the opposite side. Might help to determine what is going on.

Personally, when I replace calipers I replace both sides at once. Matched calipers (with respect to wear, rust, intrusion) stand less of a chance of uneven performance. After the brake work, if you find you're pulling to the side of the new caliper when you brake, replace the other one.

Update-there IS a bolt in there, but the head is recessed about 1/2in. I think the head is supposed to be exposed when the caliper is compressed, but mine is stuck and pretty much won't move at all. I finally unbolted the bracket that holds the pads from spindle with the caliper still attatched and took the whole mess to a brake shop to see if they could get it apart. I have to go out of town for a few days, so I'll have to wait till Thursday to see if they had any luck.
