nope 14bff is a lot easier because it uses spanner locks which you can "relieve" the pressure on the carrier and then it will just lift out. After you remove the carrier caps, spin the rings with all the holes in them on each side of the carrier, then just pick up the carrier. gotta love the 14bff, its that easy.

(these spanner rings also adjust backlash and carrier preload, so if you were removing the carrier and wish to maintain the gearset, you would mark and count the revolutions of the spanners so you could return them to their orginal locations).
