Getting the Wheeling Fever

I have a 85' 22r that I just rebuilt after the cam broke sending slivers of metal throughout the engine damaging everthing. I have the engine completally installed in the truck and I am wondering how to prime the oil pump with oil. I have assemblally lube on the bearings and in the pump but is that enough? Thanks for your response.
