Dear Editor,


In your April issue you begun a survey to determine what we the reader would like to see in your magazine. IÆll give you credit that you actually included Isuzu as a possible choice in your survey, but it confuses me as to why you would then make a comment such as that which appears on page 6. On page 6 you state ôSure, we don't do many Isuzu engine build ups or Diahatsu suspension lifts, but I doubt many of you will respond back that we need to concentrate on them either." Then on page 88-89 you indirectly hammer the point home again by stating " Since we are more concerned with performance than looks here at 4-Wheel & Off Road, we would first get a truck or SUV that we know there is aftermarket support for. Great options would be Toyota mini-truck or SUV with a gas V-8; or any Jeep or a Suzuki Samurai, as these are the most common off-road vehicles supported in the US. I cannot speak for everyone but I would imagine that your average reader is one such as me; a guy scratching a living out that his four wheeling rig is also his daily driver, not the guy who spent $20,000 to $40,000 dollars building a rock tube buggy, that spent another $40,000 to $50,000 for a truck big enough to trailer it to every trailhead. If you had or used a research department you would find that in the four wheeling mecca of Moab, we, the Isuzu owners happen to have the third largest permitted event there (www.ZuZoo.org). We trail only behind EJS and the Jeep Jamboree. If you searched the Internet for four Wheeling BBSÆs, you would find one of the largest, if not the largest BBS, is the 4x4wire. Once again there we boast the third largest membership, not Ford, not Chevy, Suzuki. Then again you may not be aware of this because we are owners that use ingenuity, creativity, and good engineering skills to create our rigs. We donÆt ôbuildö are rigs by simply flipping through an aftermarket catalog, order the parts, and ôboltö them on. So why donÆt you take a leap of faith and jump off the Jeep bandwagon, what are you afraid of, you might find that you can actually ôGo Furtherö.
