Didn't figure I'd take the top off this early in the year, but it's staying off til November. So happens to be the nicest winter I've ever seen here in Portland, and I'm just so excited that I had to tell someone. I know most of you on the board are all in the warm south somewhere and see this as a useless post , but try to feel my excitement.

In Portland? You'll grow gills leaving the top off! I was up there for a few weeks and began to grow webbs between my toes! My feet started to look a frogs!

That's usually the case, and I'm sure we'll still have a very late and wet spring...but you have to strike when the iron's hot. By the way, I'd kill to be in TX for 8 months out of the year.

Yeah it is good here. My folks came with the rirst 300 imagrents in 1824 and my wifes folks came earlier with the first 18 imagrents. It was Mexico then and they all had swear they were Catholic! One of my Gramdfathers was a Baptist Preacher and he was given 2 choices. Leaving Mexico was one and he did not wait around to hear the other. We have always been here. Place is filling up with carpetbaggers as I type.

Body Damage is Cool
i lived in portland and vancouver for 32 of my 34 years. i'm in phoenix now and i thought i had finally escaped the rain. wrong. it's rained more here in feb. than it has in seattle. when i first moved here, i thought it was strange because everybody got excited when it was supposed to rain. kinda like we northwesterners are with snow. well, rain sucked in portland and it sucks in phx. i guess cali. is getting it worse so i shouldn't complain too much. hopefully everything will be back to normal by spring. is there an el nino or something in the pacific? dry in the nw and wet in the sw seems ass backward.

Yeah coming into this fall I had heard about there being a slight El Nino, but for some reason, I haven't heard it discussed since then in the popular media...maybe the term "El Nino" is out of vogue since 1999 or whenever that was. I've lived here nearly all my life, and have never seen a winter this nice...just dry all the time.

Ya it must be some sort of El nino cuz its not in the 80's now. Its cold and overcast. Thats a rarity. Oh well. Move to florida to stay warm all the time.

I wonder what its like right now in lousiana. I mean its hot and muggy down there most the time. Is it cold and dry? Ya ive seen some misqitoes in places that the reason they didnt carry me off was that they were afraid the bigger ones would steal me away from em. Good i hate this weather.

I've been working in Sedona, Az. all winter, and the rain has been relentless. It makes me feel like I'm in Portland. We need the rain, so I'm really not complaining. As far as Fla. goes, "No thanks!".
